ESTHERVILLE — Services for Mrs. William (Vivian) Freed, 72, Estherville, will be held Monday,10:30 a.m., at the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Richard Berger of the Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Thurday, July 7, 1983, at Holy Family Hospital. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Vivian Katherina Zerke was born February 3, 1911 at Estherville, the daughter of John and Theresa Zerke. She attended the Estherville schools. On Jan. 15, 1935 she was united in marriage to William H. Freed at Spirit Lake.

She has lived in Estherville her entire life. Mr. Freed died in 1968. Mrs. Freed was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters: Wanda, Mrs. Romaine Peterson; Marlene, Mrs. Albert Bahr and Joyce, Mrs. Merle Petersen all of Estherville; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 8, 1983)
