Obituary
Ole Fronsdahl [Frandal] was born in Bergen, Norway, June 28, 1891. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Sandork’s church in his native city. He came to America in 1913, to Estherville, Iowa. He made two trips back to Norway in the meantime. While here he was employed on the C.R.I. & P. railroad. About a month ago he went to Kansas City, Mo., to seek medical aid. While there he contracted bronchial pneumonia and tonsillitis which resulted in his death at Grace hospital Wednesday, March 1st. The remains were brought here by his brother Lars Tronsdahl [Fransdal] and funeral services were conducted by Rev. S.A. Berge, at the Estherville Lutheran church last Monday afternoon. Interment was made at Oak Hill cemetery. The deceased leaves his parents, three brothers and a sister in Norway, a brother Lars, and an aunt Mrs. Lars Wee, of this city, to mourn his sudden departure. Ole Fronsdale was born in Bergen, Norway, June 28, 1891, of the parents Lars Kristoferson and Oline Fronsdale. He was baptized and confirmed in the Sandviks church in Bergen. He came to America in 1913, to Estherville, Iowa, and returned to Norway in 1915 and 1920. While here he worked as bridge carpenter on the C.R.I. & P. railroad. He went to Kansas City, Missouri, about a month ago to seek medical aid and while there he contracted bronchial pneumonia and tonsillitis which resulted in his death at Grace hospital, Kansas City, Wednesday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m. His brother Lars of this city was with him at the last. Besides his brother he leaves to mourn his departure, his parents, three brothers and a sister in Norway, and his aunt Mrs. Lars Wee of this city. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 6th at the Estherville Lutheran church, Rev. S.A. Berge officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery.
