Estherville – Services for Hazel L. Harridge, 87, of Des Moines are pending at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. She died Friday at Des Moines General Hospital. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 21, 1993)

Estherville – Services for Hazel L. Harridge, 87, of Des Moines will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, at First Christian Church of Estherville, with pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She did Friday, August 20, 1993 at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4-7 p.m. Monday.

She was born July 19, 1906 in Wallingford, the daughter of Christian and Hannah (Wolden) Danielsen and received her education in the Estherville schools. She was united in marriage to H. Keogh Estey on November 4, 1925, in Des Moines.

She lived all her married life in Des Moines and was employed at the Ordnance Plant in Des Moines during World War Two. Mr. Estey died in 1939. She was united to William L. Harridge in June of 1946. She was later employed at DICO and Window Devices until her retirement in 1953.

She was baptized in the First Christian Church in Estherville and was the last family member of the Wolden family that donated what is now known as Wolden Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Cronin of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and adopted family of Merle and Elaine Collins of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keogh, one son, Jerry, one daughter, Shirley, her parents, three brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 23, 1993)
