Grace Elwell
Estherville – Services for Grace Caroline Elwell, 78, of Estherville, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church with the Rev. Steve Allen officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1991 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born Jan. 16, 1913 at Estherville, the daughter of Grandville (Dick) and Olive May Brown, and attended Estherville Schools. On Aug. 25, 1947 she married Bennet Elwell at Spirit Lake. She was a lifetime resident of Estherville and had worked 25 years at the Estherville Laundry. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Brown, Cedar Falls; two daughters, Beverly Mullarkey, Estherville and Mrs. Mark (Marilyn) Albrant, Spirit Lake; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Morton Brown, Stuart, Va.; five sisters; Mrs. Paul (Daisy) Pellner, Charles City; Mrs. Alice Peterson, Osage; Pearl Zerke, Estherville; Vivian Van Valkenburg, Omaha; Mrs. Elmer (Gladys) Oelkers, Dunnell, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband who died Feb. 9, 1986, and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 21, 1991)
