Services
Estherville – Services for Mrs. Priscilla Dow, 94, of Estherville, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. John P. Besore III officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Tuesday, March 29, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 2, 1994)

Estherville – Services for Mrs. Priscilla Dow, 94, of Estherville, will be held Tuesday, April 5, at the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Dr. John P. Besore III will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville. She died March 29, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 4 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. Order of the Eastern Star Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. April 4 at the funeral home.

She was born February 7, 1900 in Halfa, Ia., the daughter of Daniel and Rose (Laurer) Booth. She began her education at the Hoien Country School and completed her education in Estherville High School. Upon completion of high school, she was employed by L.M. Christensen and Co. On March 4, 1944, she was united in marriage with Shirley Loren Dow in Windom, Minn. After their marriage the couple resided in Estherville. Her husband passed away on March 19, 1968. She continued to life in Estherville and became a resident of the Holy Family Hospital Apartments in the fall of 1990.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, U.P.W., Major Agers and was an ordained Deacon. She was a 74-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Beauceant, White Shrine and the Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include: five nieces, Virginia MacKinnon, Napa, Calif., Lucille Nielsen, Citrus Heights, Calif., Shirley Hughes of Hamilton, Ohio, Donna Mae MacLean, Pikesville, Md. And Barbara Taylor of Chaska, Minn.; six nephews, Robert J. Nielsen, Armstrong, George B. Nielsen, Breuillet, France, Col. Maynard Booth, Ridgeview, S.D. and Charles Booth of Rapid City, S.D.; many grand, great-grand and great-great-grand nieces and nephews; two step-daughters, Vivian Jackson of Fort Dodge and Margery Weller of Whittier, Calif.; seven step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Booth of Estherville and Mildred Booth, Fairmont, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a niece and nephew. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 4, 1994)
