Estherville – Services for Aubrey C. Eastman, 89, of Owatonna, Minn., formerly of Estherville, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Father Jack Krough officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, with full military graveside rites by
VFW Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91.He died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 1995 at Cedar View Nursing Home in Owatonna.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

He was born August 20, 1905 at Estherville, the son of Clarence and Abigail (Beal) Eastman and attended Estherville schools. He was raised on a farm southwest of Estherville and moved with his family to a farm at Goodland, Minn., in 1922. He returned to Estherville in 1925. He entered the U.S. Army on July 17, 1942. He served during WW II in Europe. After his discharge he returned to Estherville to live with his father. He remained single. He later moved to Des Moines and was employed as a sanitary engineer at Methodist Hospital until retiring. In 1992 he became a resident of Cedar View Home. He attended the Baptist Church and was a member of American Legion Post No. 91 in Estherville.

Survivors include one sister, Evelyn Lewison of Owatonna; sister-in-law, Gladys Eastman, Armstrong, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 25, 1995)
