Estherville – Services for Mrs. Glenn (Vivian) Crook, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday morning, Oct. 12, 1983 at Holy Family Hospital.Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today (Friday).
Vivian V. Vestrem was born April 21, 1907 in Estherville, the daughter of Martin and Rena (Knutson) Vestrem and attended and graduated from the Estherville Schools. On March 20, 1949 she was united in marriage with Glenn Crook at Jackson, Minn. The couple owned and managed Peoples Café and Annex for many years. She was a charter member of the Trinity Lutheran Church; a member of the Lutheran Church Women and a 30 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3388.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn; two sisters: Mrs. Gladys Price, Sioux City and Mrs. Rose Bolty, Estherville and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 14, 1983)
