Estherville – Services for Lenore Corwin, 80, of Estherville will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Home Chapel with the rev. Dr. John P. Besore III officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Thursday, May 27, 1993, at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation was held at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville form 6 to 9:00 p.m., Friday.

She was born May 4, 1913 at Viola Center, Iowa, the daughter of Lars and Christine (Hanson) Lauritsen, where she graduated from high school. She married Donald W. Corwin on March 17, 1936 at Lincoln, Nebraska.

After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Estherville area, until they retired and moved to Estherville, Mr. Corwin died September 1, 1980. Lenore has been a resident at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home since December 7, 1990. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, P.W. and Hanson-Edwards Circle.

Survivors include two sons, David of Melbourne and Leroy of Ankeny; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Lauritsen of Spirit Lake; two sisters-in-law, Pauline and Helen, both of Estherville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild, one sister and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 29, 1993)
