Estherville – Mark Eugene Cooklin, 19, Estherville, died July 11 at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Gospel Assembly Church, Estherville, with the Rev. R.W. Weurch officiating and burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home, Estherville.

Mr. Cooklin was born April 10, 1957 to Bert V. and Irene E. Rick Cooklin in Des Moines. He graduated from Estherville High School in 1975 and had remained single. He had lived most of his life in Estherville and had worked at the Fareway Stores, Inc., for the past three years.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cooklin, Estherville; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Herman Cooklin Sr., Estherville; five brothers and three sisters, Kim and Brian Cooklin at home; Larry Brix, Wallingford; Mrs. Richard (Linda) Olson, Fridley, Minn.; Mrs. Vickie Schwidder, Estherville; George Brix, Terril; Robert Brix, Terril; and Robert Walters, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his mother, paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 13, 1976)
