Vincent Marr
Estherville – Services for Vincent Harold Marr, 59, will be held at 12 noon Saturday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. He died Wednesday [August 5, 1981] in Holy Family Hospital.

Interment will be in East Side Cemetery with military graveside services. Rosary will be recited at the Fuhrman Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

He was born Mar. 18, 1922 in Milford, Ia. the son of Harley and Margaret Marr. He received his education in the Milford and Estherville schools. The family moved to Estherville in 1931 where he has lived since. On Jan. 30, 1947 he was united in marriage to Wanda Hanson at Fairmont.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Elks Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the Second Armored Division in the army in World War Two.

Mr. Marr is survived by his wife Wanda; two sons, Craig and Terry Marr, Estherville; one daughter, Rhonda Waldee of Billings, Mont.; one step-son, Dennis Eades, Estherville; eight grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Kenny (Elsie) Nattress, Spencer, Mrs. Alma Johnson, Estherville and Mrs. Irene Mahan, Golden, Col.

He was preceded in death by one son, parents, one sister and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 7, 1981)
