Services for Robert John Harvey, 79, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Gruver Presbyterian church with Rev. Neal Armstrong officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery in Estherville. He died Monday [May 17, 1982] morning in Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Thursday, till noon Friday and one hour prior to services at the church.

Harvey was born June 5, 1909 on a farm near Gruver, the son of William and Susie (Grems) Harvey. He received his education in the Swan Lake School. On May 26, 1935 he was united to Margaret Moulds at Decorah. The couple farmed southeast of Gruver until he retired in 1981 due to ill health. Harvey was a member of the Gruver Presbyterian Church and the Emmet County Historical Society and a past board member of the society.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, Gruver; one son Vere William Harvey, Gruver; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ed of Gruver and bill of Estherville; one sister Ida Harvey, Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 18, 1982)
