Mrs. Geo. F. Schaad, Jr. received the sad news of the death of her brother, James Simar, Friday. Mr. Simar died at his home near Pollack, S.D., Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock. No particulars of his death has yet been received. A letter from his daughter dated two days previous to his death said that he was in good health so death must have come to him suddenly. He was a very fleshy man and his death was probably due to heart trouble. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, May 23, 1906)
