Final Rites are Held for Edo Andressen
Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Immanuel Lutheran church for Edo Andressen, 78, who died early Tuesday [May 4, 1954] morning at his home, 415 South Seventh street.

Born June 4, 1875 in Germany, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sielbert Andressen. He was married in May, 1899, to Elizabeth Mennen and the couple lived in Germany until 1913 when they came to the United States. They farmed in the Estherville vicinity until Mr. Andressen was forced to retire in 1935 because of poor health. They lived for 11 years in Wallingford and moved to Estherville in 1962.

Mr. Andressen was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, one in infancy and Heinrich in 1924, and one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Frerichs in 1940.

Survivors include his widow and three daughters, Mrs. John Deling of Dunnell, Minn.; Mrs. William Kuefner of Truman, Minn. and Mrs. Melvin Hockett of Estherville.

The Rev. William H---- officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 6, 1954)
