Rites Set For Saturday
Dunnell – Mrs. Edo Andressen, who would have been 81 on Jan. 7, died at 10:50 a.m. yesterday in her home here. She has suffered from a heart condition for the past five years.

Family services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dunnell, the Rev. Paul Priez officiating. Services for friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Estherville. Friends may call at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, from this evening until Saturday morning, at which time the body will be taken to the church to lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Andressen was born Elizabeth Margaretha Mennan on Jan. 7, 1880, in Germany. She was married to Edo Andressen on May 6, 1899, in Germany. The couple moved from Germany to the Estherville area in 1913, where they lived until Andressen’s death in 1954. After that, Mrs. Andressen moved to Dunnell.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John (Almina) Deling of Dunnell, Mrs. William (
Gretchen) Kuefner of Truman, Minn., and Mrs. Melven (Lizzie) Hockett of Estherville, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; also a brother, Andreas Minnen of Fairmont, Minn.

Mrs. Andressen was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, a daughter and her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 8, 1960)
