Bancroft - Mrs Joseph F. Helinsky, 64, wife of a Bancroft printer, died in her sleep Sunday morning (Jan 6 1963) at her home in Bancroft. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mrs. Helinsky had suffered a stroke several months ago and had partially recovered.

She was born March 21, 1898 at Mt. Sterling, Ill., and attended school in Illinois and at Estherville. On Dec. 10, 1921 she was married to Joseph Helinsky at St. Paul. He survives. A daughter, Melvina, preceded her in death in 1945.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Fidelis Dankbar, Rock Island, Ill., and Calista Dankbar, a senior at St. John's school at Bancroft. Both granddaughters made their home with the Helinskys since the death of their mother in 1945.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic church, Bancroft, with Msgr. Joseph II Schultes officiating. Burial was at St. Patrick's cemetery at Estherville. Garry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (Algona Upper Des Moines, Algona IA, January 10, 1963)
