In the year 1907 Mr. Frank retired from the farm and active life and moved to Estherville where he resided until his death. Another old resident of this section of the country, Henry John Frank, passed away at his home in this city on last Thursday. Mr. Frank has been in poor health for some time past and has been seriously ill for the past three weeks. Up to a short time ago he was able to be about, but his extreme old age had begun to tell.

Ellis, Estherville; Mrs. A.L. Houltshouser, Estherville; Will C. Frank, Fresno, Cal.; Mrs. F.T. Hastings, Emmetsburg; Mrs. A.M. Smouse, Coon Rapids; Mrs. G.L. Gorton, Estherville; G.E. He then moved to eastern Dickinson county, where he resided for some time. He moved to Estherville in the year 1907, and has resided here since that time. He was married in the year 1866 and has reared a large family, most of whom resided near the father in his declining years.

Mr. Frank’s long residence, and friendly and cheerful ways has made him a host of friends here, and in this county, and this was of much comfort to him in his latter years.

The funeral services were held in the M.E. church on Saturday, the Rev. F.F. Case officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery.

All the children were here to attend the funeral services. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, September 8, 1915)
