Mary Jane Biggins died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Silas Lucas on Wednesday last [January 31, 1917]. She was seventy-eight years of age at the time of her death. The funeral services were to be held from the Presbyterian church on Sunday but had to be postponed on account of the blizzard. The services were held from the home on Monday the Rev. R.C. Mitchell officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Oak Hill cemetery. The deceased leaves a daughter and several grand children to mourn her death.
