Estherville – Services are pending at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville for George Wymer, 66, Estherville. He died Wednesday [September 7, 1983] morning at Holy Family Hospital. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 7, 1983)

Estherville – Services for George Eldon Wymer, 66, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Armstrong of Gruver Presbyterian Church and the Rev. John Bowe of Estherville Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment to be in East Side Cemetery with military graveside services. Wymer died Wednesday morning, Sept. 7, 1983, at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.

Wymer was born Jan. 19, 1917 at Estherville, the son of Ed and Sadie (Bolon) Wymer and attended the Estherville schools. He was a graduate of Estherville High School. On Dec. 20, 1943 he was united in marriage with Marian Ramsey at Ft. Pierce, Fla. While serving with the United States Army . He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre during the Philippine liberation. He was a member of John W. Brawford Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3388. Wymer worked for the P.G. Gray Produce Co., the Estherville Creamery and Arts-Way Mfg. at Armstrong.

Survivors include his wife, Marian, Estherville; one sister, Mrs. Leonard (Eloise) Haines, Estherville; two brothers, Donald Wymer, Ft.Worth, Texas and Ed Wymer, Ft. Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 8, 1983)
