Estherville – Ollie M. Woods, 82, Estherville, died Thursday afternoon [October 26, 1978] at Holy Family Hospital.

Services for Mr. Woods will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. James Harmon officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Mr. Woods was born March6, 1897 [per WWI Draft Records, 1898], at Trenton, Mo., the son of Mrs. and Mrs. John Woods. He received his education at Allerton and worked as a farm laborer in the Estherville area.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Maebelle Couch, Des Moines, and Mrs. C.W. Wright, Chicago, Ill. Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 27, 1978)
