Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha C. Wiseman, 88, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Henry Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harvey Throop of the Presbyterian Church officiating and burial at the East Side Cemetery. She died Tuesday [April 29, 1975] at Holy Family Hospital.

Mrs. Wiseman was born June 10, 1886 in Petersburg, Ill. to Fred and Emelie Lucht and received her education in the Petersburg schools. She was married to George Richard Wiseman August 1908 in Petersburg and they moved to Iowa in 1925. They farmed near Estherville until their retirement in 1955 when they moved into Estherville. Mrs. Wiseman was baptized and confirmer in the Lutheran Church in Petersburg.

Survivors include one son, Dwight, Ringsted; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Hermina) White, Estherville; Mrs. Russell (Imogene) Love, Armstrong; and Mrs. Jerome (Dorothy) Kollofsky, Fairmont; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; one brother, Powel Lucht, Petersburg, Ill.; and one sisters, Irma Kern, Petersburg, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons.

Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements where friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 30, 1975)
