Mrs. Eda Wilson’s Services Tuesday
Mrs. Diamond (Eda) Wilson, 78, Estherville, died at 3:17 p.m. Dec. 1 in Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church, Estherville, with the Rev. James Harmon officiating. Burial will be made in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, until 9 p.m. today when the casket will be closed.
Serving as pallbearers will be Arnold Hockett, David Dalen, Francis Ware, Otis Haukoos, Arnold Mustard and Barry Garcia.
The daughter of John and Celia Woods Campbell, she was born Aug. 4, 1895 at Muskegon, Mich. The family came to Swea City and she attended Swea City schools and was graduated from Swea City High School in 1914. She was married to Earl Huffman in April, 1926, at Algona. He died in March, 1937.
In October, 1938, she was married to Edward Wilson, who died in January, 1949. She came to Estherville in 1943 and has lived here since. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First Christian Church, Estherville, the Neighborhood Birthday Club, Service Star Legion, the Degree of Honor and Senior Citizens.
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Young (Geraldine) Yoon, Des Moines, and Mrs. Wayne (Lois) Ware, Estherville; eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one daughter, and one grandchild, one sister and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 3, 1973)
