Agnes Willcox Rites Friday
Mrs. Agnes Willcox, 82, of Estherville, died at 7:05 p.m. April 10, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fuhrman Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. Burial will be made in East Side Cemetery, Estherville.

She was born March 19, 1891, at Gifford in Hardin County to Eugene J. and Edna Upton. She attended schools in Hardin County. On Oct. 2, 1913, she was married to Earl A. Willcox. They farmed near Eldora for a few years, then in Butler County for a number of years. They came to Emmet County in 1925 and farmed until 1940 when they moved into Estherville. Mrs. Willcox was a member of United Methodist Church and W.S.C.S.

Mr. and Mrs. Willcox observed their golden wedding anniversary in October of 1963. Her husband died July 16, 1965. They had no children but were survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Agnes Willcox Former Gifford Woman, Rites Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Pauline Willcox, 82, former Gifford woman, were held from the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville Friday, April 13. Mrs. Willcox died at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville the previous Tuesday.

Rev. Richard Pearson of the United Methodist Church officiated with the vocal music provided by Louis Obye and Mrs. Harold Danielson. Mrs. August Rosenberger was organist. Interment was in the Eastside Cemetery in Estherville.

Agnes Pauline Upton, daughter of Eugene J. and Edna Mallby Upton was born March 19, 1891 at Gifford in Hardin county. She received her education in the Hardin county schools.

On October 22, 1913 she was united in marriage to Earl A. Willcox at Eldora. After their marriage the couple lived for a time near Eldora and then moved to a farm near Clarksville, where they lived for eight years before moving to Emmet County in 1925.

They continued to farm until 1934 when they moved to Estherville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and WSCS of Estherville. She was a member of the Good Cheer Club.

She is survived by four nephews and six nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, four sisters and 13 nephews. (Eldora Herald Ledger, Eldora, IA, April 24, 1973)
