Former Estherville Man Dies Monday
Frank Weeks, 86, Blencoe, Iowa, former resident of Estherville, died Monday, Dec. 18, 1972, at Onawa Hospital.

Funeral services are to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Congregational Church in Blencoe, after which the body will be brought to Estherville for burial. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at East Side Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating.

He was born Jan. 8, 1886, to Harvey and Mary Jones Weeks, at Greensburg, Kan., and was married to Maude Bright Sept. 10, 1910, in Wichita and she died in 1964. On June 28, 1964, he married Etta Comfort at Blencoe.

He had come to Iowa in 1914 and farmed in Sac County and moved to the Superior community in 1938 and to a farm southwest of Estherville in 1941. He retired in 1952 and moved to Estherville and then in 1964 he moved to Blencoe. He was a member of the Congregational Church in Blencoe.

He is survived by his second wife; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Evelyn) Eckhoff of Eagle Bend, Minn., Mrs. Myron (Eudean) Barnes of Humboldt and Mrs. Sydney (Lovella) Baustian of Burlington; eight grandchildren five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Taylor and Mrs. John Waller of Wichita and Mrs. Clarence DeMoss of Augusta, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and two brothers and three sisters.
