Funeral Services For Irene Wedebrand Will Be Held Thursday in Estherville
Estherville – Funeral services for Irene E. Wedebrand of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville. Pastor Jack Peterson will officiate.

Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. The Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at the funeral home in Estherville.

Mrs. Wedebrand died Monday, May 25, 1998, at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. She was 72.

Irene E. (Kinnetz) Wedebrand was born June 15, 1925, in Emmetsburg, the daughter of Richard and Pauline (Gronbeck) Kinnetz. She received her education in the Emmetsburg schools.

On April 19, 1949, Irene and Snoden Wedebrand were married at Jackson, Minn. The couple moved to Estherville where Mrs. Wedebrand did housekeeping for many local people. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was very active in church circle. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Estherville.

Survivors include a brother, Ernest Kinnetz of Waterloo; and six sisters, Freda Harrington of Ida Grove, Meta Bahr of Estherville, Alma Wheeler of Emmetsburg, Florence Lehner of Emmetsburg, Fame and Dale Juhl of Estherville and Josephine and Spence Bliek of Emmetsburg.

Mrs. Wededbrand was preceded in death by her husband, Snoden, on March 21, 1998. (Reporter, Emmetsburg, IA, May 26, 1998)
