Estherville – Services for Earl [“Toots”] Tuttle, 85, of Estherville, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Monday, April 5, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

He was born Sept. 6, 1907 at Dunnell, Minn. the son of Dan and Grace (McIlwain) Tuttle and attended Estherville School. On May 11, 1929 he married Margaret Hausner at Superior. He owned and operated the Estherville Rendering Plant until 1956 when he began working at John Morrell and Co. where he worked until retiring in 1972. He lived in Estherville most of his life.

Survivors include sons: Bob of Estherville and Bill of Terril; a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Carla) Thompson, Las Vegas, Nev.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mae Norrell, Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; one great—granddaughter; parents; two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 7, 1993)
