Estherville – Funeral services for Cornelius (Casey) Tromp, 81, a resident of Rosewood Manor in Estherville and former resident of Gruver, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Henry Funeral Chapel, Estherville. The Rev. J. David Hollowood, Emmetsburg, will officiate.

Interment will be in East Side Cemetery here. Friends may call at Henry Funeral Home until time of services Friday.

Mr. Tromp succumbed Tuesday [March 9, 1976] evening at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Born Dec. 2, 1894, in Holland, the son of Nicholas and Nora Tromp, Mr. Tromp received his education in Holland and came to the United States in 1920. He was married to Bessie Warren Sept. 15, 1924, at Sioux Falls.

Mr. Tromp worked for the Hill Packing Company and later P.G. Grays in Estherville until retiring in 1957 because of health. In recent years he resided at Rosewood Manor. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Reeves, Estherville, and Mrs. Murl (Geraldine) Biery, West Bend; one son, M. Charles Tromp, Waukee; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 196 and one infant son. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 11, 1976)
