Florence Tostenrud, 73, Dies
Florence Tostenrud, 73, died Saturday evening at the Meeker Memorial Nursing Home in Litchfield, Minn., where she had been a resident for only three weeks.

Born Feb. 2, 1894, at Kanaranza, Minn., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Tostenrud. She lived there until 1917, at which time the family moved to Litchfield.

Miss Tostenrud was employed at Litchfield by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and later became chief operator of the Wallingford Telephone Exchange.

Since her retirement she had lived at 24 ½ North Seventh Street, Estherville.

Miss Tostenrud is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eugene (Edna) Dunker of Aberdeen, S.D.; two brothers, Arthur of Litchfield, and Al of Spencer; and 16 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mabel and Mrs. Sam (Stella) McHenry and three brothers, Ralph, Oswald and Edward.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Glaser of Wallingford officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Don G.Tostenrud, Eldon Tostenrud, Lane Tostenrud, Russell Tostenrud, Ed Peterson and Arnold Anderson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 27, 1967)
