George Dewey Johnston, 52, and Ralph D. Torgeson, 31, both of Estherville, were killed late Saturday in a car-truck crash at a county road intersection and Iowa 9 about 11 miles east of Estherville.

The accident near Estherville occurred when a truck driven by Johnston was in collision with a car driven by Torgeson.

Torgeson’s 6-year-old son, Randall, was hospitalized in Estherville where his condition was reported as serious.
