Estherville – Services for Florence I. Tigges, 77, of Estherville will be on Saturday, January 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Rev. Paul Wiegman presiding. Interment will be in the East Side Cemetery in Estherville. She died December 29 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born in Davenport, [February 13, 1915] the daughter of Lawrence and Ethel (Mace) South and received her education in Estherville schools. She married Frederick Dohrn in April of 1933. She was later married to Roy Russ in June of 1949, also in Estherville. Mr. Russ in 1951 and she married Eldon Tigges in 1972 in California. She has lived in Fairmont, Minn. for the past 55 years and moved to Estherville in February of 192-. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Estherville and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Jane Kliewer, of Hubbard, Oregon; two sisters; Lucille Lyon, Estherville; and Lune Lowenber, Escondido, Calif.; two brothers – Frederick South, Estherville and Daryl Burns, Estherville.

Other survivors include eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, one grandson and her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 30, 1992)
