Lewis Sweet Services Are Held
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Monday) for Lewis Herman Sweet, 82, Estherville, who died Feb. 23, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital. The Rev. Robert K. Miller officiated at services at Reese-Henry Chapel with interment following at East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Sweet was born Nov. 8, 1890, at Rolfe, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Sweet. He was married to Emma Berdahl at Jackson on July 18, 1921. He had come to Estherville in 1895 with his parents and lived here the remainder of his life. He was employed for more than 20 years by the City of Estherville, retiring in 1956. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three sisters and three brothers.
