Norman Syverson
Dunnell, Minn. – Services for Norman Syverson, 79, of Dunnell, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Peterson officiating. Interment will be held at the East Side Cemetery in Estherville. He died Sunday, October 31, 1993 at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.Visitation will be held Monday from 4 p.m.to 8 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.
He was born in Wallingford on December 21, 1913, the son of Severt and Anna (Sandven) Syverson and attended country school in Twelve-Mile Lake Township near Wallingford. He was united in marriage to Velma Fisher in March of 1933 at Emmetsburg. The couple lived and farmed near Wallingford until 1953 when they moved to a farm near Dunnell. He farmed there until retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Donald Syverson of Estherville; one daughter, Beverly Steinberger of Orleans; one sister, Selma Syverson of Estherville; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, his parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 1, 1993)

Services for Norman Theodore Syverson, 79, of Dunnell, Minnesota were held November 2, 1993 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. He is survived by his wife; Velma Syverson, Dunnell, Minnesota, son: Donald Syverson, (wife, Jeanette – Estherville, IA), daughter: Beverly Steinberger (husband Robert – Orleans, IA), 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister: Selma Syverson (Estherville, IA).
Interment was at East Side Cemetery, Estherville, Iowa. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Homes of Estherville was in charge of arrangements. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, November 4, 1993)
