Estherville – Services for Kenneth LeRoy Swanson, 75, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye and Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Friday, Nov. 22, 1991, at his home in Estherville.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. Sunday.

He was born March 29, 1916 at Estherville the son of Albert (Bert) and Ellen (Carlson) Swanson and attended Estherville Schools. On Feb. 21, 1940 he married Lola Ridler at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. He was a lifelong resident of Emmet County farming near Dolliver for many years. The couple moved into Estherville in 1977 and he retired from farming in 1984. He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Lola, Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Colleen) Miller, Estherville; Mrs. Mike (Rhonda) Bonk, Truman, Minn.; four grandchildren: Kenin and Matt Miller; Christina and Philip Mooney; one brother, Wilburn Swanson , Dolliver; and mother-in-law, Mrs. Frieda Ridler, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 23, 1991)
