Wesley Sutton, 68, Dies Following Short Illness
Wesley Sutton, 68, died at his home at 1201 N. 9th St. at 7:30 on Friday [December 1, 1944] following a short illness of heart trouble.

Charles Wesley Sutton was born Jan.19, 1876, in Woodford county near El Paso, Ill. and came to Emmt county with his parents in 1896. He has lived in and near Estherville ever since. In 1903 he was married to Eda Anderson and to this union one son, C.M. Sutton, was born.

Mr. Sutton farmed for eight years and since that time has worked at the carpenter’s trade. Mr. Sutton is survived by his widow, a son; one brother, Frank, other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Methodist church. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 7, 1944)
