Estherville – Services for Eda Anetta Sutton, 98, Estherville Good Samaritan Center, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Fuhrman Funeral Chapel, Estherville. The Rev. Stan Eyberg, Estherville Lutheran Church, will officiate at the service, burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.

Mrs. Sutton died Monday afternoon at Good Samaritan. Her death was attributed to complications from a broken hip she had suffered March 20, 1978.

She was born Feb. 11, 1880, northeast of Estherville to Mr. and Mrs. Nels Anderson, and attended the Anderson Country Schools, Estherville.

April 22, 1903 she married Wesley Sutton and the couple farmed east of Estherville. Mr. Sutton passed away Dec. 1, 1944.

She was a long-time member of the Estherville Lutheran Church and is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. C.M. Sutton, Longview, Texas; one grandson, Bowen Wesley Sutton, Dallas, Texas; and one sister, Emma Sutton, Estherville Good Samaritan Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and one son, Cleo, who died Oct. 23, 1975.

Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services on Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 10, 1978)
