Estherville – Services for Oscar Clarence Sunde, 79, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Norman Omodt officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Saturday evening in Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and one hour previous to services at the church.

He was born Dec. 14, 1901 in Ellsworth Township, the son of Haldor L. and Guri (Lovvik) Sunde. He was educated in rural Emmet County Schools and attended Waldorf College in Forest City. On Feb. 25, 1932 he was married to Myrtle Lillie Paulson in Jack Creek Township. He was born, raised and farmed in Emmet County all his life until he retired from farming in 1965.

He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Mr. Sunde is survived by six sons and two daughters: Verlyn and Merrill Sunde, Estherville, Arnold Sunde, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Dale (Marian) Nielsen, Sherburn, Minn., Richard Sunde, Rochester, Minn., Glen and Wayne Sunde, Estherville and Mrs. Ivan (Janis) Brehmer, Spirit Lake; 12 grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters; Laurits Sunde, Estherville, Carl Sunde, Forest City, Clara Sunde, Forest City, Henry Sunde, Estherville and Mrs. Emma Danielson, Forest City.
