Mrs. Cleora Stoddard Dies at 75
Ill for the past 10 years, Mrs. Cleora Stoddard, 75, died late last night at the Origer Nursing Home here. Funeral services have been set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Sternborg Reece Chapel, the Rev. R.J. Johnson officiating.

Born and educated at Milford, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cody.

In 1915 she was married to Jeremiah Strohman and the couple lived near Princeton, Minn. Strohman died in 1927 and in 1932 Mrs. Stoddard was wed to Andrew Stoddard who died in 1940.

Mrs. Stoddard has been a patient at the Balmer Home for two years. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

A daughter, Mrs. George (Marjorie) Helmick of Estherville, and a son, Clarence Strohman of Wallingford, survive. Mrs. Stoddard had eight stepdaughters and four stepsons.

A sister of the deceased, Mrs. George Evenaugh, lives in Beloit, Wis. Mrs. Stoddard was preceded in death by her parents, two husband and two brothers.

Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. today until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 31, 1960)
