Suffers Fatal Stoke
Albert E. Stringfellow, 53, was stricken New Years afternoon while taking a pleasure ride and died before reaching the hospital. Mr. Stringfellow who for four years has traveled out of Estherville as salesman for the Wholesale Grocery company was in apparent good health until overcome by a heart attack. With his wife and Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Kohler he had driven to Spirit Lake following the matinee show at the Grand and was coming down the Lincoln street hit. He collapsed at the wheel.Prior to coming to Estherville Mr. and Mrs. Stringfellow had lived at Atlantic and Ames. The deceased man is survived by his wife, two brothers George of Blue Island, Ill., Ora of Colorado and a sister, Mrs. Chas. Kemp. Two children died in infancy.
Funeral services were held this morning at ten at the M.E. church with Rev. Ortmeyer in charge. Interment will be made at Oskaloosa, the body being taken overland by Henry Mahlum and Harry Jones. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 3, 1935)
