Mrs. Earl Sidles Dies
Mrs. Earl Sidles, 48, lifetime resident of Emmet county, died at 11:45 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital. Death was attributed to a stroke suffered Tuesday.Ethel Hattie Beilharz was born Feb. 8, 1913 in rural Emmet County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Beilharz, and received her education in rural schools.
In December 1929, she was married to Earl Sidles at Hampton and the Sidles have since farmed near Estherville. She was a member of the Estherville Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Delores) Johnson, Minneapolis; and two sons, Donald and Ronald, both of Estherville. A sister, Mrs. Ross Sidles, Terril, also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.
Family service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Estherville Christian Church with public services at 2 p.m. the Rev. Lester Strubhar officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home from Friday morning until 10 a.m. Saturday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services. The casket will not be opened following services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 26, 1961)
