Estherville – Services for Kim Kurtis Vedder, 29, Brookings, S.D. and formerly of Estherville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Estherville with Interment in East Side Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Balm will officiate. He died at his home in Brookings on Sunday, Jan. 15, 1984.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today (Wednesday).

Vedder was born April 20, 1954 at Estherville, the son of Frank and Sue (Willis) Vedder. He attended Estherville Schools and graduated from Estherville High School in the class of 1972. He lived in Arizona for two years and for the past seven years has been employed by the Hy-Vee store in Brookings. On Dec. 30, 1983 he was united in marriage with Diane Karlstead in Brookings. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Survivors include his wife Diane, Brookings; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vedder, Estherville and two brothers, Greg and Blaine Vedder, Minneapolis, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 18, 1984)
