SEWARD, COLEMAN, REGAN, CHRISTENSEN

Mrs. Guy Regan of Rock Island, Ill., is visiting her father, Isaac Seward, who is ill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.G. Coleman this week. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, January 26, 1939)

Funeral Services Yesterday for Local Resident
Funeral services for I.J. Seward, 82, who died Sunday [January 29, 1939] at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.J. Coleman, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Mahlum and Anderson chapel, with the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating.

Pallbearers were John Morello, Max Mathews, Walter Petcoff, James Evans, Dan Kenny and Gus Dahlman. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Mr. Seward, who was born in 1856 [per cemetery records, 1854] in Lee county, came to Estherville from Ottumwa in 1919, and had lived with his daughter since that time.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Coleman and Mrs. Guy Regan of Rock Island, Ill., six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 2, 1939)

Wallingford – Mr. and Mrs. Roy Christensen attended the funeral of I.J. Seward in Estherville Wednesday. Mrs. Christensen was a great granddaughter of the deceased. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 9, 1939)
