Estherville – Services for Mrs. Olive Rosenberger, 88, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. John P. Besoer III officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests memorials go to First Presbyterian Church and American Cancer Society.

She was born May 5, 1904 in Downers Grove, Ill., the daughter of Paul and Hildora (Jensen) Olson. She graduated from high school at Story City then attended Drake University, North Central College and the University of Washington. She taught school at Story City and Gruver. On Feb. 19, 1928 she married August Rosenberger at Story City. The couple farmed east of Estherville until 1953 then moved into Estherville. She was active in First Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and part-time organist. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women and Afternoon Circle; a 4-H Committee member, member Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem and Emmet County Historical Society. She played the piano and organ for many organizations including chapel services at the Good Samaritan.

Survivors include sons: Paul Rosenberger, Decatur, Ill., and Clark Rosenberger, Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975, her parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 30, 1993)
