Windom, Minn. – Committal service for Mary Ann Resh, 93, was held Monday at East Side Cemetery, Estherville, with Pastor Pat McBride of First Baptist Church officiating. She died Friday, August 11, 1989 at Worthington. Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Ann Griffin was born October 26, 1895 at Joliet, Ill. She was a graduate of Joliet High School and completed teachers training at Coe College in Cedar Rapids. Nov. 29, 1923 she married Roy Resh at Armstrong. The couple farmed near Ringsted, later moving to Estherville where he worked for Hill Packing Co. He died in 1965. After his death she moved to Bettendorf and later to Davenport to live with her son. She was an active member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Roy Resh, Jr. of Davenport and John Resh, Windom, Minn.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three daughters; three brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 16, 1989)
