Mrs. Harold Reed, 65, Dies; Funeral Services Wednesday
Mrs. Harold L. (Evelyn O.) Reed, 65, died Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Holy Family Hospital after a short illness. She was born April 21, 1905, at Estherville to Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Olson.

She received her education at the Estherville schools and graduated from high school in 1922, and attended Waldorf College.

On Nov.16, 1925, she was married to Harold L. Reed in Estherville.

For several years she was employed with the Estherville Democrat, a newspaper, and then worked for the Vindicator and Republican Newspaper for five years. She was executive secretary with the Emmet County Selective Service Board for the past 15 ½ years and was president of the Ladies Aid of the Estherville Lutheran Church for several years and past secretary for the ALCW of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Estherville.

Survivors include her husband, Harold; four sons, Jack, Chicago; Bob, Estherville; Charles, Stevensville, Mich.; and Jim, Estherville; two grandchildren, Kelly and Jeff; one sister, Dorothy; and one brother, Martin of Forest City, Ark.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Karl Nelson officiating.

Burial will be at East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.

Pallbearers are D.L. McAdams, C.W. Robinson, Orvis Kaltved, Lee Barnes, Wayne H. Crim and Lester R. Sidles.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Bixby, Charles J. Robinson, Oden L. Wee, William T. Nielson, John Bartels and Gordon Barsness. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 19, 1970)
