Estherville – Services for Mrs. A.I. (Luella Mae) Reed, 85, Estherville, will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Mrs. Reed succumbed Tuesday [November 8, 1977] morning at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home after noon Thursday until time of services.

Mrs. Reed was born March 2, 1892, at Beaver, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kiekendall. She received her education in Beaver schools and was married to Dr. A.I. Reed at Beaver on March 21, 1908.

The couple resided in Beaver and Grand Junction until coming to Estherville in 1928. Mrs. Reed was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, W.L. Reed, Estherville, R.K. Reed, Fergus Falls, Minn., and R.E. Reed, Omaha, Neb.; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, parents, three sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 9, 1977)
