Mrs. Glen C. Pickens Dies
Mrs. Glen C. (Estella) Pickens, 69, of Estherville died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Holy Family Hospital of a lingering illness. She had been ill for the past five years.

Family services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel. Public services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, the Rev. Kathryn Loutzenhiser officiating.

Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home from this afternoon until 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Estella Bradshaw Pickens was born May 8, 1891, in Sullivan County, Mo., to George and Amanda Bradshaw. She received her education in Sullivan County.

She was married to Glen C. Pickens in June of 1915 at Ft. Dodge. Following the marriage, the couple began farming in Palo Alto and Clay counties. They moved to Estherville in 1922.

Mrs. Pickens was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Estherville.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter Mrs. Lyle (Irene) Lastine of Terril and two grandchildren, Wesley and Cheryl. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 5, 1961)
