Death Takes Mrs. Theo. Flindt, 79
Mrs. Theodor (Louise) Flindt, 79, died at 4:40 a.m. today at Good Samaritan Center where she had been a resident since February.Mrs. Flindt was born April 18, 1888 [per gravestone, 1887], in Buckingham County, Va., the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry White.
Soon after her birth, her parents settled in the rural community of Breme Bluff, Va. ON Feb. 20, 1908, she was married to her first husband, Rev. Curtis H. Page in Breme Bluff.
They later moved to the Midwest and came to Gruver in 1925 where Rev. Page was pastor of the Gruver Presbyterian Church for eight years. They moved to Estherville where Rev. Page died July 31, 1941.
Mrs. Page was married June 2, 1946 to Theodor Flindt of Estherville. He died in 1956.
Mrs. Flindt had eight brothers and sisters of whom two survive: Mrs. Hattie Turner Alvis of Richmond, Va., and Samuel White of Ashland, Va. Twenty-seven nieces and nephews live in Virginia.
Mrs. Flindt was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Estherville and of the United Presbyterian Women.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Estherville Presbyterian Church wigh Rev. H. Allen Wirtz officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon on Thursday at Fuhrman Funeral Home until noon on Friday when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 1, 1967)
