Nygaard Rites Held Tuesday
Sigval Nygaard, 75, who died Nov. 12, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital, was given funeral services at 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, at Estherville Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiated and burial was made in East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Nygaard was born Aug. 27, 1899, in Norway. He came to the United Stated with his mother as a young child and they settled first at Inwood and later farmed near Rock Rapids. He came to Estherville in 1964 and has resided at Balmer Nursing Home since then. He was confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Jennie Holland, Chicago; and one brother, Hjelmer Nygaard, Larchwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
