Jeffery J. Burns
Estherville – Services for Jeffery J. Burns,17, of Estherville, will be held Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery in Estherville. He died Sunday, January 2, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Also Tuesday at 4 p.m. there will be a Legion of Mary Rosary and at 7:30 p.m. Parish Vigil Service.

He was born June 23, 1976 in Estherville, the son of Daryl and Barbara (Wee) Burns and attended grade school at Holy Angels Catholic School in Globe, AZ., junior high in Casa Grande, and beginning in 1991, high school in Estherville, where he was a senior. He was active in Cub Scout, receiving the Arrow of Light achievement, the science and math clubs at Holy Angels and was on the Pepper Staff at Estherville. He played basketball while in junior high and loved to hunt and fish and guitar music. He was actively involved in electronics and cherished the gift of a computer given to him by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

Survivors include his parents, Daryl and Barbara Burns of Estherville; maternal grandparents, Oden and Bernice Wee of Estherville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 3, 1994)
