Clarence C. Nemitz Dies at Age of 44
Clarence C. Nemitz, 44, died yesterday at 2 p.m. at his home after being in poor health for the past three years. Bed-ridden since the middle of July, Mr. Nemitz had been hospitalized in Iowa City and Holy Family hospital much of that time.

Born Sept. 18, 1911 in Independence township, Palo Alto county, Clarence Nemitz married Edna Sabo Jan. 26, 1937 at Estherville. Mr. Nemitz farmed with his dad, Otto for a number of years near Estherville and later was a truck driver, hauling gravel locally until becoming ill.

Mr. Nemitz was confirmed in the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church at Fenton, Oct. 26, 1924.

Surviving Mr. Nemitz are his wife, one sister, Mrs. William Brass of Fenton and his father, Otto Nemitz of Emmetsburg and several cousins.

Funeral Rites Wednesday
Funeral services for Clarence Nemitz will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Sternborg Funeral Chapel and 2 p.m. in the Estherville Lutheran church. Burial will be in Eastside cemetery. Mr. Nemitz died Sunday [November 13, 1955] afternoon after a lengthy illness. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 15, 1955)
