Mrs. Rosetta Mae Myers Services Held Today
Mrs. Rosetta Mae Myers, 83, Estherville, died at 8:50 p.m. Jan. 18 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today in First Presbyterian Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Harvey Throop officiating. Burial was made in East Side Cemetery. Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Myers was born Aug. 11, 1890 in Sioux Rapids to Mr. and Mrs. John Hart. She was educated in Sioux Rapids area schools. On Feb. 15, 1910, she was married to Orrie Myers at her parents’ home near Sioux Rapids. Following their marriage, they farmed northeast of Sioux Rapids until 1915 when they moved to a farm southeast of Gruver and Mrs. Myers moved to Estherville in 1955.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Estherville. She had been active for many years in the Four-Mile Lake Club, Crescent Country Club and the Lakeshore Country Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William (Pauline) Harvey, rural Estherville; one son, Harris Myers, Estherville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three brothers and two sisters.

Serving as pallbearers were Irven Dalen, Milton Evans, Robert Harvey, John Higgins, John Rugtiv and Robert Woods. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 21, 1974)
